Dental Bridges

What are Dental Bridges?

Dental bridges replace lost or missing teeth with one or more artificial teeth (pontics). Two adjacent teeth are prepared for crowns that support a pontic replacing the missing tooth. A bridge can also be made using two dental implants to support one or more fake replacement teeth (pontics). These appliances are cemented in and are not removable by the patient.

What are the symptoms or indications?

  • A missing tooth that has adjacent natural teeth with adequate bone support.
  • An area with a need to replace multiple teeth where there is adequate bone to support dental implants.
